Dave Adlard
Founder, Race Director
Dave is the president of Perpetual Motion Events, and is the race director of Expedition Idaho, Adventure Sports Week Idaho, the upcoming Riverside 24 Hour Relay, the Sky Island Challenge (coming November 2015 in Tucson!) as well as the meet director of the Great West Gymfest, among other events. A two time Ironman finisher, he has also completed many adventure races from 6 hours to over 5 days.
Mike Kloser

Mike is one of, if not THE most successful and experienced adventure racers of all time, as well as mountain bike world champion and several time national champion in several disciplines. Mike was a key part of designing the very successful ExpId 2011 course and is back helping with ExpAK 2015! We are blessed to have him as a part of our team!

One of Alaska’s greatest living adventurers, Roman literally wrote the book on pack rafting and is one of the most successful and respected outdoorsmen in history! He is also a long-time adventure racer himself, and multiple time winner of the Alaska Mountain Wilderness Classic!
Dick Griffiths
Race Director Emeritus
Another Alaskan legend, Dick actually invented the pack raft(!) and has led a lifetime of adventures from literally pole to pole! Author of “Canyons and Ice,” he has also been instrumental in designing the course and his input is respected beyond measure.
Kraig Becker

Kraig Becker is a freelance writer and world traveler who covers mountaineering expeditions, polar exploration, adventure travel, and other outdoor pursuits. He is the editor of The Adventure Blog, and has served as the Media Director for the Primal Quest expedition adventure race and the BattleFrog Obstacle Course Series. He is the Adventure and Outdoor Travel expert at About.com, and has published stories with Outer Edge Magazine, National Geographic Adventure, Men’s Journal and more.
Lia Mitchell

All before the age of 25, this Hawaii girl backpacked, trail ran, rock climbed, hitchhiked, mountain biked, and sold pineapple cakes throughout twenty countries. In 2012 she worked on the Media/Sponsorships team of the Patagonian Expedition Race, and has since spent the last few years working in Alaska and San Francisco’s adventure industries. Lia brings tremendous energy and experience to this most critical area!
Chris Radcliffe – Still photography. One of the AR world’s most accomplished and prolific photographers, Chris has worked on virtually every major event and will be heading up our “on course” photo crew.
Rick McCharles - Writer of Besthike.com amongst others. Social Media. One of the most widely read travel and outdoor writers, Rick will be on course covering the event and blogging.
Lisa Adlard – Registration and check in. Dave’s “Boss,” Lisa is the backbone behind our events, and is the smiling face that racers seek out to help them with all of their questions!
